Boorloo Aboriginal Cultural Experiences
Boorloo is a small, family-owned company based in the Perth metropolitan area. Boorloo was created in 2018 by husband/wife and business owners Olman and Sharna Walley. Their company offers cultural experiences in three key areas; performance, education and tourism. Olman and Sharna aim to provide a deeper understanding of Noongar culture to all participants and clients.
The team has over 20 years of cumulative experience working with groups from a range of diverse backgrounds. Olman and Sharna take pride in their services and are dedicated to providing a positive experience to everyone they engage with.
Olman Walley is a proud Wilman, Balardong, Binjareb, Wadjuk Nyoongar man. He was raised in the Wilman (Wheatbelt) region and was taught Noongar culture by his family and Elders. His Nyoongar name is Chitty Chitty (Willy Wagtail) and his love of sharing stories, history, music, dance and knowledge of our wonderful ancient culture.
Sharna Walley is a Noongar woman born and raised in Perth. As someone who comes from a mixed background, Sharna has always been passionate about bringing people together and bringing Aboriginal culture into mainstream learning for the benefit of all Australians and visitors in this amazing place we call home, Boorloo (Perth).
Boorloo custom-designs and delivers a diverse range of cultural experiences for all audiences including:
Performance (Welcome to Country, traditional dance performances)
Education (cultural awareness, wellbeing workshops, incursions)
Tourism (walking tours, customised tours)
