Flinders Ranges & Outback

From the rugged mountains and gorges of the Flinders Ranges to the beautiful dry austerity of the Outback, it is the landscape and Aboriginal culture that characterise this vast region of South Australia.

Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park is rich in Aboriginal rock art and engravings. Arkaroo Rock is a particularly important Aboriginal art site in the Flinders Ranges featuring ochre and charcoal images depicting the creation of the local Wilpena Pound.

At Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre National Park, the Traditional Owners are the Arabana and Dieri, you will have the opportunity to experience Australia’s largest salt water lake and bear witness to this special place.
