Jellurgal Aboriginal Cultural Centre
Jellurgal Aboriginal Cultural Centre is the Gold Coast's only dedicated Aboriginal Cultural Centre and is fully owned and operated by the local Aboriginal community.
Jellurgal is an initiative of Gold Coast-based Kalwun Development Corporation which provides a range of services and facilities for the Gold Coast's community of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Jellurgal Aboriginal Cultural Centre is based at the foot of Burleigh Head National Park in Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast, alongside the pristine Tallebudgera Creek.
At the centre, you can browse the colourful paintings, Aboriginal artefacts such as dilly bags, shields, tools, boomerangs, nulla nullas, message sticks, didgeridoos and other tools and instruments that were part of everyday life. You can also purchase souvenirs from the Jellurgal Gift Shop and grab a coffee or ice-cream in our cafe.
Take a walk through our informative boardwalk story display where you can further explore the traditional lives of the Yugambeh language speaking people.
