The Gaagal Yuludarla (Ocean Dreaming) Tour offers a 1.5 hour immersive walk around Scott’s Head Headland and Junay Gaagal (Little Beach). Sink your toes into the sand, gaze at the Gaagal (Ocean) as the waves roll in, whilst being inspired by our Aboriginal Guides telling you the creation story of how the Gaagal (Ocean) was made and about the first wave being created.

Tour Guides will meet participants at Scott’s Head Reserve - opposite the Ocean Street Diner at 6 Short St, Scott’s Head.
What to expect
Take a leisurely walk up onto the headland and take in the breathtaking view of Gaagal Wanggaan (Beach South) from the viewing platform and smell the fresh salt air. Get an insight into the Gumbaynggirr people’s deep, spiritual connection to the beautiful Dunggirr julum (Koala mountain) also known as Yarriabini.

Unkya Eco Cultural Tours
The Unkya Local Aboriginal Lands Council (LALC) was established during 1983/1984, under the New South Wales Aboriginal Land Rights Act (ALRA) 1982, by a group of local Aboriginal people, including local Aboriginal Elders.
The Unkya LALC was established to develop education, training, employment, housing and other community capacity building opportunities for local Aboriginal People. The Unkya LALC Cultural Eco Tourism project is a social enterprise implemented by the Unkya LALC in accordance with the Unkya LALC’s Approved Community Land and Business Plan.
