Half Day Aboriginal Rock Art Experience
Walk amongst sandstone escarpments and tropical savannah with Aboriginal Traditional Owners. Explore exquisite ancient rock art hidden in the rock shelters which has been home for Balngarrawarra people for thousands of years and rarely seen by outsiders.
Gain an insight into the traditional life of Aboriginal people and learn about spirituality, survival and bush tucker. Discover traditional food and medicine and learn about the colourful history of Normanby Station. Enjoy morning tea and gain an understanding of how the Balngarrawarra continue to remain connected with their homelands.
Departures are scheduled on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays from April to November.

Normanby Station, located an hours drive from Cooktown is the homelands for the Balngarrawarra people.
Normanby Station Aboriginal Rock Art tour is a genuine cultural experience connecting you with local Aboriginal people. With special permission from the Traditional Owners at Normanby Station, we are able to grant you a unique experience with the Balnggarrawarra people. Visit the homelands and ancient rock art with unique insight of the Balnggarrawarra people.

This half day experience is available as a tour (with a maximum of 14 people) or private charter ( 1-14 people)
Departs from Cooktown.
