Experience a journey through time looking at bush foods and medicines and the Warki way of life. Guests can witness the rewilding and bringing back of cultural knowledge and knowhow.

Yundi Nature Conservancy. Approximately 60km south of Adelaide CBD and approximately 60 minutes to drive.
What to expect
Join your traditional custodian as they share their journey of culture, history, dreaming stories, and tasting of bush foods in season. You will learn how to identify bush foods and bush medicines and their uses on an easy two hour cultural walk.
All inclusive of Smoking ceremony, walk and talk through tranquil surroundings, telling of dreaming story and tastings of foods.
Kool Tours has products throughout the Fleurieu and is the only authentic Indigenous experience where customers can develop an understanding of Warki Ruwe.
This is a two hour tour.
This experience is currently just for group bookings with a minimum of 10 guests or a minimum fee for less than 10 guests. Please enquire for preferred dates.

Mark Koolmatrie is the original Tribal man of southern South Australia, also referred to as a ‘Munkanboli’, a clever person who is a man of wisdom and knowledge.
Mark has used his knowledge that has been passed down by his ancestors over thousands and of years to ensure culture is strong and alive. Mark’s origin is from the Kukabrak Tribes of southern South Australia and like many changes they are now referred to as Ngarrindjeri. The Ngarrindjeri Nation is made up of 18 Tribes or family groupings known as Lakinyeri.
Mark’s family is of the Ramindjeri, Yaralde, Meintangk, Warki and Tangani Kukabrak tribes. He speaks for and belongs to other families of the Coorong region, the lower lakes of southern South Australia, the Fleurieu Peninsula and Kangaroo Island and all their lands, waters and cosmology.
